In 2013 Ed Miliband, Leader of the Labour Party, commissioned Maggie Philbin - CEO of Teen Tech and ex presenter of BBC TV's 'Tomorrow's World' - to undertake an independent review of digital skills. The review looked at issues such as the role of schools, further education, government and business in ensuring young people have the skills they need to fulfil their potential and ambitions and to meet the future needs of the economy.
Maggie established a Digital Task Force of independent experts, including Shomila Malik from The Lab, and a Young Digital Task Force of young people to help compile the report.
As a champion of young people and digital skills, Telefonica hosted a review workshop with young people and leading digital thinkers at the think Big Hub in May
